The Socket System is your gateway to enhancing your gear in Rakion! This system allows you to add sockets to your items (except accessories and creatures) and insert gems that grant powerful boosts and unique effects. Ready to take your equipment to the next level? Here’s everything you need to know!
🔨 Creating a Socket
📌 Where Can I Find the Socket System?
- You can access the Socket System in the Refinery. Go to the Refinery and select the Socket tab to add sockets and set gems into your gear.
📌 How Many Sockets Can an Item Have?
- Each item can have up to six (6) sockets! There are three types of sockets, and each type can have up to two sockets. Keep in mind that each socket type is compatible with specific gems, so be sure to choose the right ones for your build!
📌 Can a Socket Creation Fail?
Nope! Socket creation never fails, so you can add sockets without worrying. However, when setting a gem into a socket, there is a chance of failure, so plan your gem placements wisely!
📌 How Do I Create a Socket?
- Obtain a Socket Hammer.
- Go to the Refinery and place the hammer into the Socket Slot.
- Press Use to create the socket.
- Once complete, your item will be ready for gem placement!
⚠️ Note: Only one item can be socketed at a time.
📌 Where Can I Buy Socket-Related Materials?
Socket crafting materials and gems can be purchased from the Gem Store tab in the Refinery.
💎 Setting Gems: Types and Effects
Once you’ve created sockets, it’s time to power up your gear with gems! There are three main types of gems, each offering unique benefits.
1️⃣ Stat Gems – Boost Your Core Stats
Enhance your basic stats to improve survivability and damage:
- Max Energy – Increases your overall energy pool.
- Max Armor – Boosts your defense to take less damage.
- Max Cell Points – Expands your ability to summon more creatures.
- Cell Destruction – Increases your power against enemy creatures.
2️⃣ Special Effect Gems – Gain Combat Perks
These gems activate effects during battle when you attack or get hit:
- Freeze – Immobilizes an enemy with an icy effect.
- Life Steal – Absorbs a portion of your opponent’s HP.
- Fear – Pushes back nearby enemies with minor damage.
3️⃣ Attribute Gems – Unique Item Enhancements
These gems give special properties to your items, sometimes adding tiered effects for even greater bonuses.
💡 Pro Tip: Mix and match gem types to create the perfect gear build for your playstyle!
🔧 How to Set a Gem – Step-by-Step Guide
Each socket type can only hold specific gems, so double-check compatibility before setting your gems.
⚠️ Important: There is a chance of failure when setting a gem. If it fails, any previously set gems may be lost!
How to Set a Gem:
- Choose the Gem – Select the gem you want to set into the socket.
Attempt the Set – If successful, the gem’s effect will appear in the item’s description!
💎 Successful Gem Set = Upgraded Gear! ❌ Failed Gem Set = Risk of Losing Previously Set Gems
Be strategic when setting gems to avoid losing valuable boosts!
🔄 Removing Gems
Need to swap out a gem? No problem! You can use a Gem Remover to clear a socket and free up space for a new gem.
✅ No risk of failure when removing a gem! The gem and socket will be cleared safely, allowing you to re-customize your gear as needed.
⚠️ Note: Items with sockets cannot be sent by mail to prevent misuse.
